Braids & Beyond
Braids & Beyond is a community-driven summer program designed to empower youth ages 7–17 through hands-on hair braiding and styling education.
This program blends creativity, culture, and skill development in a safe, fun, and supportive learning environment.
Participants explore braiding not only as a practical skill, but also as an art form and cultural tradition—building confidence, self-expression, and entrepreneurial awareness along the way.

Key Training Activities
Participants receive guided instruction in:
– Scalp Maintenance & Sanitation
– Breakage Prevention Techniques
– Basic Braiding, Box Braids & Knotless Braids
– Cornrows & Creative Hairstyles
– Proper Shampooing & Hair Care

Monday, Tuesday Wednesday: 8:00am – 9:30am
Option 2:
Monday, Tuesday Wednesday: 7:00pm – 8:30pm
Option 3:
Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 8:00am – 9:30am
Option 4:
Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 7:15pm – 8:30pm
